Africa Travel Connect Names Ethiopian Tourism Authority as Latest Member

Africa Travel Connect (ATC) – the tourism promotion agency aimed at boosting visitor numbers to the continent of Africa – has announced the Ethiopian Tourism Authority as its newest official member country.

This significant partnership was formalised earlier in a landmark signing ceremony attended by the Ambassador of Ethiopia to the UK, underscoring Ethiopia’s strong commitment to shaping the future of African tourism.

The agreement was signed by Ethiopia’s UK delegation, representing the Ethiopian Tourism Authority, reaffirming the country’s dedication to tourism-led economic development, cultural celebration, and cross-continental collaboration.

“This is more than a signing—it’s a symbol of Ethiopia’s readiness to lead and contribute to the transformation of Africa’s tourism narrative,” said Yared Bizuneh, Founder of Africa Travel Connect. “The presence of the Ambassador at the signing is a powerful affirmation of Ethiopia’s national-level commitment to tourism as a driver for growth, identity, and unity across the continent.”

“This agreement with Africa Travel Connect reflects our shared vision for a thriving, connected, and fairly represented African tourism sector,” the Ethiopian Tourism Authority said.

As the official tourism body of one of Africa’s most culturally rich and historically significant nations, the Ethiopian Tourism Authority’s inclusion in ATC reflects a shared vision: to elevate authentic African experiences, foster regional cooperation, and provide equitable exposure for every African destination, not just the well-trodden ones.
