AVC: High Speed Hitters cap prelims round with loss vs Nakhon Ratchasima
MANILA, Philippines — PLDT ran out of fuel in a five-setter match over the Nakhon Ratchasima of Thailand, 24-26, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 9-15, finishing second in Pool D of the 2025 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Champions League on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The High Speed Hitters wrapped up the preliminary round with a 1-1 win-loss card, and will face Kazakhstan's Zhetysu VC (1-1) of Pool A in the knockout quarterfinals match.
PLDT relied on Savi Davison's 25-point showing.
Thailand's Eva Chantava made 11 points on nine attacks, and two aces, along with 10 excellent digs.
