Bagunas, Eya named FIVB Men's Worlds ambassadors

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino indie folk band 'Ben and Ben' was officially introduced as the music partner for the Philippine hosting of the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship at The Vault inside the W Global Center on Tuesday.

'Ben and Ben''s 'Triumph' is the official music of the aforementioned tournament which the Philippines will host from September 12 to 28.

"We're happy to be the music partner of the World Men's Volleyball Championship," said Miguel Benjamin in a press conference at The Vault inside the W Global Center on Tuesday.

"The song you just heard is 'Triumph' and we feel like the energy of that song matches so much the passion and love and joy of both the sport and its community. Thank you so much for having us," added Miguel, whose band composed and popularized songs such as 'Sa susunod na habang buhay', 'Pagtingin', and 'Kathang isip'.

Meanwhile, Alas Pilipinas men's Bryan Bagunas and women's Eya Laure were introduced as ambassadors.

"It's such an honor to be one of the ambassadors for the Men's Volleyball World Championships. Before, we just wanted to compete against other countries, but now, the best of the best are coming to our country, so it's really exciting! I hope the Alas Pilipinas Men's team gets our support," said Laure.

"We're really grateful for bringing the Men's Volleyball World Championship here. It's such a big deal for the volleyball community in the Philippines. We'll learn a lot from this, and it's a huge opportunity for men's volleyball to showcase our talents to the world," said Bagunas.
