Blu Girls recognized at Women in Sports Awards

The Philippine women's softball team, popularly known as Blu Girls, continued to make waves in the sporting world as the team was honored at the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Women in Sports Awards on March 15, 2025 at the Century Park Hotel in Malate, Manila.

The recognition highlights the team's exceptional achievements in international competitions and their role in paving the way for the next generation of Filipina sports heroes.

During the awarding ceremony, team captains Charlotte Sales and Angelu Gabriel proudly accepted the recognition on behalf of the Blu Girls.

The Blu Girls have long been a dominant force in Southeast Asia and continues to rise in the global softball scene.

The team consistently showcases its world-class talent, resilience and determination. The Blu Girls' dedication to the sport has not only brought pride to the country but has also elevated the status of Philippine softball on the international stage.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, president of the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (Asa-Phil) and a longtime supporter of the team, expressed his pride in the latest accomplishment of the Blu Girls.
