JJ Redick Admits He Didn’t Sleep While Creating Game Plan Against Nuggets

Los Angeles Lakers fans saw something they didn’t expect from JJ Redick on Saturday night: a smile.
As his team wrapped up their 123-100 win over the Denver Nuggets, Redick looked happy and very proud of his team.
Although they won by a big margin, it was a hard-fought victory.
In fact, according to Jovan Buha, per Legion Hoops, Redick said he didn’t sleep for two days before the game to create a game plan against the Nuggets.
Whatever he did, it worked for his team and sent a strong statement.

The Nuggets were shut down in just about every way during Saturday’s game.
Even though they had some sharpshooters and even though Nikola Jokic posted another triple-double, the Nuggets looked and acted flat-footed and out of sorts.
And speaking of Jokic, he was minimized in a big way by the Lakers and went just 2-of-7 from the field.
Even without Anthony Davis, the Lakers were able to make a strong defensive plan and stick to it.
But their win was obviously about more than defense because their offense was scoring too.
Four of the starters were in double digits, with Rui Hachimura, Austin Reaves, and LeBron James all showing up and putting up more than 20 points.
But it was Luka Doncic’s night, and he scored 32 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.
This was easily his best game as a Laker and, like Redick, he was all smiles throughout the night.
This was a massive win for the Lakers and it sent a message to the rest of the league: the defense may be in doubt without Davis, but there is still something special in this roster, especially when four players are scoring more than 20 points each.
