PH, Thai business leaders join forces to launch premium skincare for Filipinos

A new beauty brand is entering the local market, promising premium skincare tailored for Filipinos.

LM Makeup and Skincare, a collaboration between Filipino entrepreneur Ma. Linda "Lyn" Macanas, CEO of Chrizmarie Builders and Construction Supply, and Thai beauty mogul Kwan Wannathong, CEO of Vega Cosmetics Thailand, will be bringing high-quality skincare products infused with cutting-edge European innovations.

The partnership was formalized during a contract signing event in Manila. Vega Cosmetics President Prathomsak Techavetcharoen, along with legal representatives Gem Arellano and Chokanan Chamni, witnessed the signing. Also present were the families of both businesswomen, who traveled from Thailand to celebrate the milestone.

Set for release within the year, LM Makeup and Skincare will introduce a complete beauty line — from soaps and creams to lotions and serums — designed specifically for the Filipino climate and complexion.

LM Makeup and Skincare sets itself apart by prioritizing research-driven formulations while maintaining affordability for Filipino consumers.

But LM Makeup and Skincare is not just about cosmetics — it represents a journey of strength, perseverance, and empowerment. Both Macanas and Wannathong have built their businesses from the ground up, overcoming personal hardships to achieve success and this is the reason why they decided to sign their partnership on International Women's Day 2025.

Macanas recounted her struggles during the event saying, "I used to walk 9 kilometers to go to school. I worked on a farm, tended to animals, and even picked fruits just to have something for lunch. I told myself that one day, I would succeed. I went to college, worked multiple jobs, and eventually went abroad as an OFW. But my true breakthrough came when I became a liaison officer in a construction company."

Her entrepreneurial journey led her to create one of the country's top construction firms, but beauty and skincare have always been close to her heart.

When asked why she ventured into cosmetics, she shared, "My daughters love beauty products, and I often see them trying different brands. That's when I thought, why not create something of my own — high-quality skincare that we can proudly call ours?"

Macanas added, "With our organic skincare line, which incorporates French and Spanish technology, Filipinos and the rest of the region will now have access to premium beauty products that truly work for them."

Meanwhile, Wannathong, who built her own empire in the beauty industry back in her home country, was drawn to Macanas' story and passion.

"I built my cosmetics business on a dream, working closely with clients to make it a reality. When we first met in Thailand, I felt her strong energy and saw how she cared for those around her, just as we do. It touched my heart. As our families connected, we knew this partnership was meant to be. Together, we will bring the best products to the world and succeed as one," Wannathong shared.

With a commitment to quality and innovation, the brand is set to make a lasting impact on the beauty industry in the Philippines and beyond.
