Swan Hellenic Reports Record Antarctic Season: Passengers & Revenues Rise, Interest Increasing

Expedition cruise specialist Swan Hellenic has reported a record 2024-2025 Antarctic Season, with a 25% annual increase in guest numbers and interest continuing to surge.

Along with the passenger rise came a 35% rise in revenue from the season.

An exciting development trialed in the season was the opportunity to walk on the wild side in included expert-led snowshoeing expeditions. Following the great guest success, these will now be a distinctive standard feature of Swan Hellenic’s Antarctica cruises, depending of course on the snow conditions. Typically, around one and a half hours long, each will be led by two experienced mountaineers and enable beginners and experienced guests alike to explore further than a normal landing activity, since snowshoes make it much easier to walk in soft snow.

With developments like this maintaining the momentum of guest posts and recommendations, the company confirmed there is already stronger interest in its 2025-2026 Antarctic cultural expedition cruises.

Swan Hellenic’s Chief Commercial Officer Patrizia Iantorno commented:We’re extremely proud of what these impressive results say about guest satisfaction with our itineraries, onboard experts, expedition guides, chefs and crew, with many guests recommending us to and returning with family and friends. But we’re not resting on our laurels, continually seeking to elevate our exceptional guest experience, as shown by the distinctive innovation of included snowshoeing expeditions.”
