TCL marks 25 years in PH with cutting-edge innovations, vision for the future

TCL Electronics marked its 25th year in the Philippines with a grand celebration at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom, unveiling its 2025 product line and reaffirming its commitment to innovation and Filipino households.
Under the theme "Legendary Moment, Timeless Greatness," the brand celebrated not just its legacy of technological excellence, but its dedication to making smart living accessible to every Filipino. The celebration featured TCL's latest achievements, including its recognition as the new Triple Global Top 1 TV Brand in Mini-LED, Google TV, and large-size TVs (85 inches and above), according to OMDIA 2024.
Trailblazing in Filipino homes
Griffin Zhang, general manager of Asia Pacific Business Group at TCL Industries, credited the brand's local success to its strong partnerships and deep understanding of Filipino consumers.
"In the past, TCL has achieved remarkable results in the Philippine market. Our TV and AC sales both hold the top 1 market share and have become trusted brands among consumers. The REF & WM category has also maintained a rapid growth trend, with a constantly expanding market share. These achievements are inseparable from the efforts and supports of every partner," Zhang said.
"Looking ahead, TCL will continue to uphold the principle of 'Technology Creates A Better Life', constantly innovate and improve product quality and service levels. We hope to work collectively with all the partners to explore the Philippine market and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results," he added.
Since entering the Philippine market in 2000 with its television category, TCL has grown its presence by introducing air conditioners in 2018 and white-line products in 2021.
CEO Peter Chen acknowledged this legacy, saying, "We are not a follower, but a trailblazer. Being innovative has always been in TCL's DNA. For us, innovation is to go beyond our limits and develop cutting-edge, sustainable technologies."

Showcasing the future
The evening's centerpiece was a captivating presentation of TCL's 2025 lineup, unveiling four game-changing innovations poised to revolutionize modern living. These innovations, centered on cooler, cleaner, smarter, and sharper technologies, promise to redefine the consumer experience.
TCL Philippines took the stage to reveal its latest technological breakthroughs. Charlie Huang, deputy product director of Brownline, unveiled the brand's most advanced C682 TV set to be launched soon. Bert Cheung, deputy product director of air conditioner, introduced groundbreaking climate control solutions through the innovative and award-winning TCL FreshIn 3.0 Air Conditioners.
While Eric Li, senior product manager of washing machine and refrigerator, explored the next generation of washing machines through the TCL C20 Front Load Washer and Dryer, emphasizing efficiency and smart technology, followed by a look at TCL's game-changing newly-introduced Bottom Mounted refrigerator In refrigerators designed to engineered to elevate convenience and efficiency in everyday living.
Olympic-sized vision
A major highlight of the night was TCL's announcement of its global partnership with the International Olympic Committee, spanning from 2025 to 2032. "This is an important manifestation of TCL's brand strength. Through cooperation with the Olympics, a global top-level sports event, TCL will further enhance our international influence and show our innovative technologies and excellent quality to consumers around the world," said Zhang.
Shae Yu, deputy marketing director, seconded, "Being a global technology leader, TCL believes in the power to 'Inspire Greatness,' a sentiment echoed by the Olympic spirit... Whether you're an athlete chasing gold or just chasing your toddler around the house — we've got your back."
Filipino Olympian and world-ranked pole vaulter EJ Obiena joined the festivities, celebrating his role as TCL's newest brand partner.
"I think the partnership is great – it's about chasing greatness, constant improvement, and perfection," Obiena shared. "Just as TCL constantly innovates to enhance our lives through their products, we athletes approach training with the same mindset."
Star-studded moments
The brand also welcomed new celebrity partners Valeen Montenegro and Rhian Ramos, who joined a fireside chat alongside Obiena and Yu.
"It's honestly been such an exciting and inspiring journey. Becoming part of TCL feels like joining a brand that truly understands innovation and heart," said Montenegro.
"Joining the TCL journey has been super exciting. It's not just about being a part of a brand; it's about being part of something that really focuses on innovation and bringing people the best experiences," said Ramos.
Montenegro praised the QD MiniLED TV for turning her living room into "a full-on entertainment hub," while Ramos lauded the FreshIN 3.0 for its smart, energy-efficient voice control features.
Looking ahead
The evening concluded with a celebratory toast led by Cyd Montebon, deputy director of sales, and Wesley Yang, deputy director of retail.
"To our cherished partners, our forward-thinking visionaries, and to all who have walked this incredible path with us — thank you," Montebon said.
