The ITAA Benevolent Fund Welcomes New Trustee & Announces Changes To Roles

The ITAA Benevolent Fund, which was set up in 1993 to assist past and present ITAA members during times of financial difficulty, has made changes to its board recently. Barry Walsh has stepped down as Chairperson and Audrey Headon will be stepping in into this role, while Sharon Jordan will be taking on the role of Treasurer. Carrie Day will now be the Benevolent Fund’s Secretary.

The board of trustees are also pleased to announce that Donagh McCarthy of Blackpool Travel, will be joining the fund as a new trustee. Donagh is a well-known and respected member of the Irish travel trade, and the trustees are delighted to welcome him onboard.

The board of trustees now comprises of Frances Grogan (Grogan Travel), Bepi Gaidoni (BCD Travel), Sharon Jordan (ITTN), Barry Walsh, Maria Dilworth (Blackpool Travel), Des Abbott (DA Travel), Audrey Headon, Carrie Day (ITTN) and Donagh McCarthy (Blackpool Travel). About The ITAA Benevolent Fund

The purpose of the ITAA Benevolent Fund is to offer financial assistance to staff, both past and present, who have worked in a Travel Agency that is currently or was previously a member of the ITAA. Anyone can apply for assistance regardless of age, when they left the industry or how long they spent working in an ITAA agency.
