The Toy Library at Kalayaan Elementary brings learning to life

In a world where digital screens often dominate children's attention, it's refreshing to find a place where creativity, hands-on experiences, and play take center stage. The Toy Library at Kalayaan Elementary School in Pasay City offers just that — a space designed to encourage imagination, learning, and the development of social skills through the simple yet impactful act of play.

Upon the invitation of the Toy Titas of Manila, led by their president, Irene Villanueva Wicklein, I had the opportunity to visit the Toy Library. Joining me were other special guests, including the wives of three ambassadors: Indri Akyol (Türkiye), Roswitha Brieger (Austria), and Ranny Widjojo (Indonesia). The variety of toys, generously donated by the Toy Titas' friends and families, was truly impressive. These carefully selected toys help create a vibrant space that encourages young learners to explore, discover, and grow.

The Toy Library is a perfect example of educational innovation. Instead of relying on high-tech gadgets, it offers a curated selection of toys that spark curiosity and foster development. The Toy Library at Kalayaan Elementary School demonstrates how play can be a powerful tool in shaping young minds.
