The View from VT: Vikings Do it Again, Trade Official, and Losing “The Mangler”

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: May 3rd, 2025
1) The Vikings Have Done it Again: A yearly tradition at this stage. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah likes to get his elbows up when going into the undrafted free agent battle. Quite often, the GM walks away with some coveted players coming back to Minnesota. Yet again, there are some excellent pickups in this facet of talent acquisition.

2) The Vikings’ Big Trade is Official: Took a bit of time to fully get across the finish line, but Sam Howell is now the Vikings’ QB2. He represents a strong upgrade over Brett Rypien. Howell is younger and has good size, which is to say nothing of his history of better production.
3) “The Mangler” Says No Thanks to Vikings: The Vikings, under Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, tend to do quite well when it comes to adding talent after the draft. Even the best teams miss, though. The football player with the great nickname is going to Pittsburgh to see if can get onto Mike Tomlin’s team.

4) ESPN Trashes Vikings’ Draft Pick: Everyone has an opinion. And, to be sure, there’s nothing inherently wrong with having a take on the decisions that get made. At the end of the day, analysts can make an argument and (ideally) provide solid evidence for their rationale. We’ll then sit back and let reality play out to determine whether the picks were worth it.
5) Vikings Fans Turn to “The Big Rumor:” Soon, the rumors will start to quiet down. March and April are when the NFL rumors are flying around faster than fries at a McDonald’s. There are still some purple rumblings out there that we’ll soon learn more about in the offseason.

Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
