UAAP women's volley: Ateneo caps Season 87 in style, leaves UE winless
MANILA, Philippines — Ateneo de Manila University wrapped up its UAAP Season 87 campaign with a win over winless University of the East (UE), 25-21, 23-25, 25-16, 27-25, on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Ateneo snapped its four-game losing streak and exited the tournament with a 5-9 win-loss card, while UE concluded its season with 0-14.
Jihan Chuatico made 16 points on 11 attacks, four blocks, an an ace to lead the Lady Eagles to victory.
Lyann De Guzman and Alexis Miner churned out 13 points each for Ateneo.
On the Lady Warriors' side, Karzai Bangayan had 16 points, while KC Cepada chipped in 14 markers.
