UST tops UP, rolls to fourth straight win

MANILA, Philippines — The UST Golden Tigresses rolled to their fourth straight win in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament after topping the UP Fighting Maroons, 25-11, 25-23, 23-25, 25-12, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.

Unable to complete a comeback bid in the third set, the Tigresses growled to a 17-5 start to take the fight out of the Maroons.

Regina Jurado banged 22 points, eight digs, and three receptions for UST, which rose to a 4-1 record, second best in the league behind the still unbeaten 4-0 NU.

Kianne Olango amassed 18 points for UP which dropped to its third straight loss and to a 2-3 slate, sixth in the standings.
