White bags 12 medals in Thailand

(UPDATE) FILIPINO British Hannah White bagged 12 medals, including three record-breaking feats in the swimming competition of the 2025 Fobisia Games held at the Pattana Sports Resort in Chonburi, Thailand.

Representing The ABC International School (ABCIS), White showed her prowess in the girls' 50-meter (m) butterfly, setting a new record with a time of 30.81 seconds.

White broke another record in the 100-m individual medley, clocking in at 1:12.09.

She was also part of the ABCIS team that submitted a new mark of 58.80 seconds in the girls' 4x25-m freestyle relay.

White earned additional three gold medals as all record-breakers in the swimming event were awarded special honors.

Aside from the three gold medals, White also secured a silver medal in the medley relay.

White's versatility wasn't limited to swimming, as the multitalented athlete also saw action in athletics, basketball and football events.

In athletics, White also shone with a gold medal in the girls' 1,500-m run, while securing a silver in the girls' 800-m run and two bronzes in the girls' high jump and girls' 4x100-m relay.

White was likewise part of the champion girls' team in the basketball event, while her team finished fifth in the football competition.

ABCIS PE head Andy Smith praised White's excellent leadership among her teammates.

"We would like to thank team captain Hannah White for leading by example and the entire ABCIS squad for their hard work and dedication. They showed that if you prepare correctly and are willing to put in the time, anything is possible," Smith said.

White also expressed gratitude to her coaches, including basketball coach Rob Jessop, owner of Gators Athletic Performance Basketball in Vietnam.

"It's been such a long three days of competition as Hannah had to participate in four different sports: athletics, swimming, basketball and football. Hannah broke three Fobisia Games records in swimming. Thank you, Hannah, for bringing your very best. We are extremely proud of you," said Jenny White, Hannah's proud mother.

Hannah is one of the three White siblings in the swimming community.

Her older siblings, Heather and Ruben, were part of the national junior swimming team and are currently studying in the United States and Great Britain, respectively.
