Wilcon Depot reaches 100th store milestone, celebrates legacy of growth

Home improvement retailer Wilcon Depot celebrated a major milestone on Jan. 21, marking its 100th store with a grand event attended by longtime industry partners, suppliers, and media.
Held at Shangri-La The Fort, the celebration brought together more than 500 guests, including local and international attendees, to commemorate Wilcon's enduring success in the home retail industry.
Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of Wilcon Depot, welcomed guests and reflected on the company's journey.
"What has helped us move forward is staying true to our simple yet powerful Filipino core values. With a good amount of courage, wisdom, and heart, Wilcon Depot was able to defy the odds — or shall I say, gravity — and fly high to 100!" Bosch-Ong said. "Tonight is not only a testament to how far we've come but a reminder that our journey is far from over — it is only just beginning. Tara, join us for many more years, stores, and milestones! Isang daan na Wilcon, isang daan pang Wilcon, isa lang ang daan: Wilcon."
The program featured live performances and a tribute video highlighting Wilcon's journey. A key moment of the evening was the presentation of "The Beacon" plaque to Wilcon founder and chairman emeritus William T. Belo. Crafted by renowned Filipino artist Marge Organo, the glass sculpture symbolizes clarity, resilience, and brilliance — qualities that define Belo's leadership in transforming Wilcon into a powerhouse in home improvement.
Wilcon president and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cincochan closed the event by thanking the company's longtime partners, executives, and employees.
"As my father always says, our workforce, our people, our human resources are Wilcon Depot's greatest blessings," she said.
Founded in 1977 as a 60-square-meter hardware store, Wilcon has grown into a trusted household name in home improvement. The #FlyingHighTo100 campaign embodies Wilcon's commitment to progress and community service by providing high-quality products and customer support.
Since going public in March 2017, Wilcon has embarked on its most aggressive expansion yet under Belo-Cincochan's leadership. The company — which operates Wilcon Depot big-box stores, Wilcon Home Essentials, and the newly launched DO IT WILCON shops — reached its 100th store milestone a year ahead of schedule.
